Best file to upload
Upload the original downloaded PDF, not a screenshot, scan, photo, or print-to-PDF copy. A screenshot may look identical to the document, but it does not contain the embedded PDF digital signature that must be checked.
Enter the PDF password when the upload flow asks for it. UIDAI describes the e-Aadhaar password as the first four letters of your name in capitals followed by your birth year. For example, SURESH KUMAR born in 1990 uses SURE1990. Check UIDAI's examples if your name is short or includes initials.
What the green tick output means
The output is designed for physical submission workflows where a visible valid-signature mark is requested. It is a flattened print-ready copy, so you should keep the original digitally signed PDF for digital records.
A valid print copy does not mean GreenTick PDF is a UIDAI portal. It means the original uploaded PDF passed the verification checks that the tool supports.
When validation cannot succeed
Aadhaar signature validation cannot succeed if the uploaded file is unsigned, corrupted, changed after signing, scanned, unsupported, or signed by a certificate chain that cannot be trusted by the verifier.
In those cases, GreenTick PDF shows a failure state instead of producing a misleading green tick. Downloading a fresh copy from the original source is usually the best next step.
